When red light systems are installed, the rate of red-light running is typically reduced to 40% of the benchmark that was previously determined. It then slowly reduces further and typically remains at 30% of the initial benchmark. Thereby, such systems are generating revenue on a long term basis which should be one of the reasons for deployment.

EFKONs Redlight enforcement solution RedTrak® is based on a modular system concept. A certified and audited core system can be added with additional modules. Motion video analysis provides vehicle driving directions. This can be used to separate right/left turning vehicles from straight on driving vehicles in order to handle them different (e.g. if right/left turning at red light is allowed).
