The EFKON MagnaFS JV Division provides specialist traffic information dealing with road traffic infringements. These systems are used by municipal as well as provincial and national authorities for offence capture, processing and fine issuing. The systems cover the full spectrum of infringements ranging from moving violations such as vehicle overloading, red light infringements and speeding through standing violations such as roadworthiness and parking violations. TRAFMAN™ provides features such as accident data capture, number plate recognition, interfacing with vehicle and driver registers as well as judicial court scheduling systems. The systems provide functionality for identifying repeat offenders as well as geographical information system integration.
The group has been active in the field of back-office traffic infringement and data processing for more than 15 years.
The TRAFMAN VPC has the following high level functional requirements:
- Update roadside equipment configurations and setup remotely;
- Receive and securely store data from roadside equipment;
- Integrate with DMV Database of vehicle owners
- Provide software and workstations for manual analysis and processing of images, videos and violation record information
- Production of citations/penalty charge notices
- Audited sending of citations/penalty charge notices
- Processing and follow up of payments
- Processing payments via cash, credit cards, cheques, bank transfer, internet etc.
- Individual screens for different collecting agencies
- Archiving and query/retrieval functions
- Provide reporting requirements such as data reports and data export functions
- Hearing/Court Calendar Schedule Support
- Management of blacklists/whitelists/VIP-lists
- Encryption/Decryption of records
- Operator and supervisor management
- Processing real-time infringement alarms from field equipment e.g. on hitting a blacklisted vehicle
- Extensive traffic statistics module
